Objectives:

                                   MASTERed Goals:

I need a new job...

I’ll contact five prospective employers each weekday until I find the employer right for me.
I should exercise more...
I will spend twenty minutes on yoga tonight, so I can feel in top form.
I need to save money...
I will invest 10% of each paycheck, so tomorrow I can have more.
I should watch less TV...
I will not watch TV tonight; instead I’ll fill my evening with a conversation, a book, or a family game.
I need time with my kids...
I will take my kids to the beach this weekend, so we can share a memorable afternoon.
I want to meet someone...
I’ll investigate a new organization every week, so I can meet new people who share my interests.
I want to travel more...
I will visit Europe two years from today, and I will set aside one hundred dollars a month to pay for the trip.
I want some family time...
Our family will sit down to dinner tonight, so we can talk about what matters to each other.
I will control my temper...
The next time that I catch myself getting angry, I will excuse myself from the situation and take a walk.

Now you try...
write a few objectives...

...now rewrite them so that they are MASTERed goals...Send your MASTERed goals to navigator@navigatinglife.org for feedback about whether or not they are truly MASTERed.
